Thousands of years ago during the Duapar Yug, when Shri Krishna was born and taught all of us the learning of Bhagwat Geeta and the war of Mahabharat was fought. A girl named Yamini was also born and lived in one of the villages of Hastinapur. After the day when Pandavas lost the game of Chaucer (cross and cycle) and Draupadi was tried to be unrobed in front of all the ministry of Hastinapur, these kinds of activities become a common way of taking revenge. So in a similar kind of game, Yamini’s father put her on a stake in return for his farms with the landowners. She refused in the same way as Draupadi did which infuriated the landowner and he tried to remove her clothes, so, in spar of a moment, Yamini saw Krishna’s idol beside her, she took the cloth from the idol, wrapped over herself, kicked the landowner and ran. Everyone was angry and wanted to punish her for this disrespectful act. She was given a death sentence by cutting her neck with a sword. She was taken at a common market of the village and was about to get killed. But Yamini was calm, had a smile, and was praying to Lord Krishna to save her as he did save Draupadi. She closed her eyes and continued to chant Krishna…Krishna. As soon as the sword touched her neck it got twisted. The person who was given this task bought a new sword and tried to kill her almost 100 times but it got twisted each time. Finally, everyone lost against their will, and Yodupa was saved. The landlord in irritation announced, “Leave her”.
Yodupa opens her eyes but instead of seeing the village
market and people around her, she watches a bright yellow–orange light
appearing from black and someone coming towards her. Lord Krishna in a yellow
dhoti and dupatta around his neck and waist. A peacock fur over her crown
having blue diamond stones and a murli in his hand is coming towards her.
Mesmerized and feeling like she is dreaming something, Yamini is just looking
at him without blinking even for once.
“Yamini, do you believe in me?” Krishna himself asks
her.
“Yes Kahna. More than the existence of this earth, or day
or night, or even the darkness in a closed room, I believe in you. The whole
world is because of you.” replies Yamini with folded hands and teary eyes.
“Then why did you snatch my clothes? Wasn’t it a disrespect
to me? Didn’t you believe in me?” asks Krishna.
“I was scared. I am sorry Krishna for my ungraceful and
disrespectful act. “apologies Yamini.
“You are a brave and honest woman. You learned to fight for
justice and righteousness. I give you the blessing of not feeling pain and
emotions. But since you snatched the blue cloth that was worn by the idol, you
will be devoided of your powers whenever you are in touch with the blue color.”
“I am blessed, grateful, and very lucky to have your
glimpse, Krishna. I will always try to do good with the power you are giving
me. Please show me the right path whenever I get misled.” Yamini replies in
happiness.
“Yamini, in all your births on this earth, until you
are pure-hearted and have faith in goodness and god, you will be born with
these powers. Tathastu.” Said, Krishna. These were his final words to Yamini.
Yamini thanked the god and she closes her eyes in
gratefulness.
When she opens her eyes, she is standing in front of a
village where everyone was surprised by how the sword could not even touch
her.
After that Yamini lived her life happily while worshipping lord Krishna. In her remaining life, she taught her children and grandchildren the values of good deeds and belief in God.
Now in the 21st century, Yamini has born as Yodupa in the
house of Mr. and Mrs. Neeraj Kakkar. Coincidently her grandfather named her
Yodupa which is a combination of Yodha (Warrier) and Draupadi.
On 7th October 2005, Yodupa was born in a city hospital in
Delhi as the first child; and the only child of her parents but it was not the
only thing that happened on that day in Delhi. In the outskirts of Delhi near
the Pahadgunj area, a Scientist named Mr. Tejas Prakash was working on his
artificial intelligence project by testing a robot. “Tero, tell me what is the
weather outside.” He asked his robot. “It is sunny, master. Temperature is 34
degrees. “The robot replied. “Oh, shut up. At 7 in the evening, you are
experiencing the sun. Shut up. Get lost.” He shouted at the robot. “I don’t get
it.” The robot replied. “You don’t get anything. Shut up. Shut up. You get
lost.” He said in anger as a result of seeking failure 1000th time after
working on something for 7 years. In a rage of anger and frustration, he took a
wiper and hit the robot with force. The metal part from the arm hit his head
which cut and he started bleeding. The guard standing outside the laboratory,
came inside as he heard the noise and took Tejas to the city hospital.
“It’s a deep cut. You will need tetanus injection in case
you haven’t had it in the last 1 year,” said Faiza who dressed the wound Tejas.
“Cool. I will get the injection,” replied Tejas and went to another room for
getting injected. In the same room, babies were given their vaccination.
“Don’t cry, baby. Don’t cry.” Neeraj was trying to pacify
Yodupa who was crying while the doctor was injecting her. She was wrapped in a
blue dress from the hospital as she was just a few hours old. Once she stopped
crying, he put her in a cradle and went to check on Sadhana in her room. Tejas
was sitting in the same room, watching the baby girl and waiting for his turn.
A nurse came to change Yodupa’s clothes. She removed her clothes, wiped her
body, and took her to put on clothes. As she moved, her leg slipped due to
water on the floor, and; both the nurse and baby fell. A terrified nurse
checked on the baby, put a yellow quilt over her and lay her in the cradle, and
just went in a hurry.
“What did just happen?” Tejas asked himself after realizing
that baby did not cry a bit even hitting her head on the ground and she was hauling
when the doctor injected her. He ran to the baby, and check on her carefully.
She got a little bruise on her head. She didn’t cry a bit. How?” he again asked
himself with a confusing and shocking expression on his face.
“This baby did not cry even after birth. Don’t scratch your
head,” said Faiza, who came to check on the baby as the other nurse requested
her to. “Oh. Brave girl.” Tejas replied. Faiza took the baby, wrapped her in
the new hospital dress and the baby started crying. “What happened? You are so
brave, baby. Don’t cry.” She took the baby in her hand and was moving her back
and forth but the baby did not stop crying. She pressed the bruise over her
forehead and put ointment but the baby was still crying.
Tejas was there standing and noticed everything. “Remove
her clothes.” He said abruptly. “Why? I just made her wear them.” Faiza
replied. “Please remove her clothes.” He said again. “I said no. Why should I?
You please wait, I will inject you once I give the baby to her parents.” She
spoke. Tejas just pushed her aside swiftly and removed her clothes from Yodupa.
“She stopped crying,” Faiza said in shock. “How did you know she will stop
crying after removing clothes? I knew these hospital clothes have rough fabric.
Babies are uncomfortable in them.” She added and tried to explain the reason
why the baby stopped crying.
Tejas was a little more shocked and looked surprised as if
he did some discovery. Then suddenly he slapped the baby on her right cheek.
“What are you doing? Are you mad?” Faiza was shouting at him. The baby was
expressionless and her cheek was all red. Tejas again made her wear clothes and
she started crying vigorously. “Step aside, madman. Why did you slap the baby?”
said Faiza.
Tejas was standing there, just absorbing what he just
learned. Faiza was yelling continuously. She took the baby and was trying to
pacify her for more than 15 minutes. Meanwhile, Tejas was sitting there on the
bench after getting his tetanus injection, but he looked in shock and
confusion.
Faiza was roaming in the room with Yodupa in her hands when
the baby has wet her dress after peeing. She removed her clothes again and the
baby stopped crying. With a little frowned eye and confused face, she was
looking at Yodupa. The baby girl was silent, expressionless, and had a red
right cheek. “Why she is not crying suddenly?” she asked.
Tejas said, “Make her wear new hospital clothes and she
will start.”
“What theories you are making? Hospital clothes are rough,
I will make her wear some softer cloth. She will not.” Faiza replied. She made
her wear softer clothes. “Look, she is not crying now,” Faiza said in a
taunting manner to Tejas.
“Make her wear something blue and she will start crying,”
Tejas said and insisted.
“What are you saying?” she asked.
“She was undressed when she fell with the nurse and when I
slapped her. And both times she did not cry“ said Tejas.
“What are you trying to say?” asked Faiza.
“She cries as soon as she wears a hospital dress,” added
Tejas.
Faiza after hearing that immediately realized something.
She quickly undressed her and wrapped her into a blue softer hospital quilt.
Yodupa started crying again. At the same moment, Neeraj came and shouted at
Faiza as he saw the bruise on her daughter’s head and asked her to dress Yodupa
properly. Faiza made Yodupa wear a fresh hospital dress and give it to Neeraj.
He took Yodupa in his hands and went out of the room trying to pacify
her.
“What did she start crying even in the soft quilt?” shocked
and confused Faiza asked looking at Tejas.
