Last night, I watched Tripling Season2 created by Viral Fever. Following the repercussions of the events of Season1, Season 2 is on the floor on public demand. Here’s my review of the latest season and its comparison with the previous season.
THE PLOT
The whole plot of S2 is following the events that took place in S1. The story starts after 6 months from the S1 events where Chandan (Sumeet Vyas) wrote a book named "Tripling" which is a best seller and a movie is being produced based on it. Chitvan (Amol Parashar) is still the dude among the three but now is a father. Yeah!!! Chitvan is a father of 2-year-old whom he nicknamed Cheetah. How? Why? When? That’s a new edition. Chanchal (Maanvi Gagroo) has become the MLA to replace his hubby Pranav (Kunaal Roy Kapur) because of the misunderstanding that he is impotent as mentioned in Chintan’s book which created havoc in their marriage. After all this, Pranav runs away from his home and no one knows his location. Chanchal is being accused of murdering him to take his place as the “Ranisa” by the one and only Bhabhisa (Nidhi Bist)-The Antagonist of this Season. Chandan head to Jaipur for literature fest with Chitvan and is kidnapped by Chanchal’s Goons Why? Guess the reason, guys!!! A new adventurous trip begins again in search of Pranav. This time, tripling travel from Jodhpur to Lucknow to Kolkata to Gangtok covering the beauties of these amazing cities meeting new characters.
NEW CHARACTERS
Apart from the characters we all know from S1, there are a bunch of new actors in S2. Nawab Sikandar Khan (Gajraj Rao) and Begum Zainab (Shweta Tripathi) who are the first lead to finding Pranav are an odd couple with Nawab sahib over 60 and Behum being of his daughter’s age. Hari Bhai (Mushtaq Khan), secretary to Chandan, has a very small screen space and could have been used more in the story. Chitvan’s new girlfriend, Sheetal (Kubra Sait), an established and strict Lawyer by profession who treats Chitvan nothing more than a caretaker of her child. A Bengali Investigator played by Rajit Kapur, is an interesting character who seems to be inspired by Byomkesh Bakshi (The Classical Fictional Detective Character)

ACTING
There is absolutely no doubt that the TVF actors have a special place in our hearts and no one can question their acting. All the characters were portrayed the way they were meant to be with full gentry and discipline.
COMPARISON WITH S1
Though the main characters have moved on in life with new characters are introduced, the main essence of sibling love, pseudo royalty obligations, political obligation, choices made in life and their consequences are still intact in the story. However, we also witness some new shades of our main characters as well. Some scenes didn’t work for me as the last scenes with Rajeev Masand was confusing with strange expressions of the well-known critic and unnecessary dialogues which only takes screen time with no effect.
On comparison with S1; S2 is a bit slow and writing is not as good as S1. More time could have been given to characters’ back story and the new characters should have been introduced more so as to get the grip of the character (Maybe it is not done so as to make S3). The main highlight of S1 –The MADAFUKA song was introduced in starting to give the S1 vibes to it (I am sure you guys will like the twist given to it this time). Baba aka Chandan gets female attention all the time, after all, he is so beautiful (HaHaha) adds the humor which we all love to see. I wish there was some new piece of poppy music which becomes the highlight of the season.
So, finally, guys, go watch this new season of Tripling with your siblings and enjoy a good time.
