A tribute to the Martyred soldiers and Heroes of the Surgical Strike, the movie is worth watching. Vicky Kausal plays the Protagonist with the name Vihaan Singh Shergil who is a Major in the Indian Army. In an organized attack at the Uri army base in 2016, his brother-in-law (Mohit Raina) is among the killed soldiers. The movie shows very swiftly the life of Vihaan Shergil, his commitment to his country and his responsibility as a son. The story revolved around his personal loss and how he used that sorrow to become his strength and take revenge from the culprits.
The movie has very energetic and apt background music which makes your blood boil with enthusiam and courge and respect for the Army. The action scenes and the surgical strike procedure is well research, shot and executed. VFX of the movie is also better than what I expected. Aditya Dhar has well-directed in terms of backstory, content and the necessary emotions needed. There is no unnecessary music or screen time of any character. Everything is just apt in order to keep it to the point. It also has some cringworthy dialogues which gives the movie more Bollywood flavour. The main catchphrase and marketing tagline of HOW'S THE JOSH ?? HIGH SIR !!! is already trending. However, there was one thing which most of the viewers didn't approve of. That was using the help of a normal geek student in such an importat and top secret mission like this. But I feel that was the attempt of the makers to emphasize using youth and new generation engineers and their out of the box innovative ideas in the field of Intelligence and Research which are normally scrapped in front of the mainstream.
As per the acting skills, Vicky Kaushal has proved himself in this movie with his acting skills. Paresh Raval 's character which is inspired by India's NSA Mr. Ajit Doval is lovely to watch. Yami as a RAW agent had done justice to her job. The movie also features our PM Mr. Modi which is played by Rajit Kapur. Special mention of Mohit Raina and Kirti Kulkarni
At last, I must say that if you guys are looking for a meaningful movie in Bollywood then this is surely you take. Go watch it in theatres near you. Click here to book tickets now.
