After a long time, I visited a recently opened restaurant near my home. I went on a family dinner with my parents and ordered KADAI PANEER & TANDOORI ROTI in the main course and SOFTY (Yes !!! my childhood fetish) in the dessert.

The ambiance of the restaurant is good.

KADAI PANNER- The gravy was cooked well with all veggies and spices well mixed. It wasn’t spicy which makes it suitable for elderly people and children. But the taste was good with a good number of paneer cubes. The only thing it lacked was quantity. Depending on the price and quantity served it was more for a single person and less for a couple or 3 people. I guess it was their selling strategy so that customers order more food than required.

TANDOORI ROTI- Midrange Restaurants try their best to serve tandoori roti but they can’t. I got one of the worst tandoori roti I ever had. It was thinner and small than the normal “tawa roti” our mothers make at home. After the first serve, I called the waiter and told him to replace the roti. Then the second time, the waiter brought the “tandoori rotis”, they were acceptable, not good. It would have been better if I had ordered Tawa roti. (Try it and let me know)

SOFTY- After the bad experience in the main course, my mother insisted on trying the dessert which was softy-my childhood fetish. With little expectations, I ordered 2 softies (Vanilla and Chocolate). To my fear, it was also not up to the mark. Though it was chilled and with Tutti Frutti on top, it lacked sweetness.

Phew!! Utterly disappointed with this restaurant but thinking of trying some other dishes. Maybe that can change my experience with this restaurant. Also, the service was very delayed. It took them about 1 hour to serve only 1 dish and Roti even when there were only 2 families in the whole restaurant including us. So if you visit them, make sure you have a lot of time and patience

Final Verdict: Don’t expect more from SNESHIKA RESTAURANT. Delayed serve.
